Professor of Public Policy
Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University
Contact Professor Bohnet's research builds on insights from economics and psychology to better understand how institutions affect men's and women's behavior in policy, management and negotiation across the world and provide prescriptive advice on how to change institutions to achieve desired outcomes. She is particularly interested in exploring why and under which conditions people trust and cooperate with each other. A behavioral economist, she mainly uses experimental methods in her research, which she conducts in various parts of the world. Better understanding heterogeneity in motivation and behavior, particularly as it pertains to gender and culture, is an integral part of her research. Professor Bohnet teaches negotiation and behavioral decision analysis at Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government.
