Students from Other CountriesAlthough a large number of PIL students come from abroad, there are still special questions that non-American students need to consider before deciding to come to the Program on Negotiation. All courses are conducted in English only. To be able to take advantage of the Program, you should have a working knowledge of English and be able to participate fluently in dialogue with the instructor and other students. We do not require certification of fluency in English, but suggest a TOEFL written exam score of 570 as a minimum proficiency standard. You do not need any previous training in American law. The workshop is open to attorneys and non-attorneys seeking comprehensive learning in negotiation and mediation. Participants from a wide variety of professions have found these programs invaluable. Under the United States Visa Waiver Program, visas are generally not required to attend the program if your trip is under 90 days and you have a return/onward ticket on a carrier participating in the Visa Waiver Program. It is suggested that participants check with a U.S. Consulate or Embassy in their country for more information on visa requirements. Please leave plenty of time for your visa to be processed. |
