Michael Watkins and Susan Rosegrant have won a Best Book Prize from the CPR Institute for Dispute Resolution for Breakthrough International Negotiation: How Great Negotiators Transformed The World's Toughest Post-Cold War Conflicts (Jossey-Bass, 2001).

Breakthrough International Negotiation, which examines diplomatic negotiations in the Middle East, the Persian Gulf, Korea, and Bosnia, was the first title to be published in a conflict resolution book series jointly sponsored by the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School and Jossey-Bass. Other books in this series include Must We Fight?, edited by William L. Ury, and Transboundary Environmental Negotiation, by Larry Susskind and William Moomaw.
