Haile Menkerios, Director of the Africa 1 Division of the UN Department of Political Affairs, joined by Alex de Waal, a Director of Justice Africa and Fellow at Harvard's Global Equity Initiative, will discuss the political aspects of the international response to the crisis, domestic politics in Sudan, and the implications of both for creating a viable power-sharing agreement among Sudan's disparate political actors. The series is sponsored by the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School and the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs.
