At this brown bag lunch, Cora True-Frost will facilitate a group discussion about women's roles in negotiating peace after conflict. She will examine specific case studies, ranging from Burundi to Kosovo, and discuss the rationales for, obstacles to and successes in inclusion of gender concerns and women's participations in peace negotiations.

Cora True-Frost is presently a Harvard Safra Fellow and will be a Lecturer in Law and Climenko Fellow at Harvard Law School from 2007-9.

From 2004-5, as coordinator of the NGO Working Group on Women, Peace and Security at UN headquarters in New York, Cora coordinated and lead ten women's NGOs in advocating for advancement of Security Council Resolution 1325, which includes calls for women's participation in peace negotiations and political processes. From 2003-4, in East Timor and with the support of East Timor's First Lady Kirsti Sword-Gusmao, Cora co-founded the Women's Justice Unit at JSMP.

Cora holds a BA in philosophy and sociology, a JD/MPA magna cum laude, and an LL.M. from Harvard Law School.
